The Carter Brothers - Since You've Come Into My Life (2000) P-Vine - Rare Blues/Soul (FLAC)

The Carter Bros hailed from Garland, Alabama. Roman (lead vocals, bass) and Albert (guitar), along with Jerry (vocals, piano), their now deceased brother and friend Jimmy 'Magoo' Carter formed a band in high school in Southern California after relocating. They first recorded in 1958 and had a hit record (minus Jimmy Carter), “Southern Country Boy,” on Jewel Records in 1965 which reached a placing of twenty one on Billboard’s R&B chart. They began recording in 1964 for producer/songwriter Duke Coleman's local label. Stan Lewis' Jewel Records. Before splitting up in 1967 (when Albert and Jerry Carter were said to have been drafted) the trio recorded more than a dozen single sides, which have since been collected on several compilations. Only 1 album was released on Jewel in 1980 and a few comps since then.Lead singer Roman Carter, who also cut solo singles for Jewel. Shortly thereafter, their recording career was over and they continued to play local clubs and took day jobs. In 1996, they reappeared on a Japanese label P-Vine which resulted in 2 albums & tours abroad where they were greeted by enthusiastic fans seeking their autographs on collections of their old album & 45,s. They received acclaim for their appearance at the 2007 San Francisco Blues Festival and are now back on the club circuit with a show that combines their gospel influence with blues and R&B. Roman  endured as a solo performer over the next 40 years and was given an award as Best Male Blues Vocalist at the Fifth Annual Real Blues Awards, sponsored by Real Blues magazine in 1999. This is their 3rd final studio album
