Former lead singer for the legendary early 1970's soul group the Escorts who hold the distinction of being the only group to start their recording career behind bars. They were serving time, at Rahway prison in New Jersey. I,ll go more in depth when i post an Escorts Album on the blog and their link with George Kerr(Legendary Producer who discovered them)Later.  Reginald Haynes recorded his Ultra Rare Solo Album in 1986 on his own label, a dozen years after the success of his former group. The album "On Wings of Love" features Haynes in great form, leading a tight R&B outfit featuring Ronald King (bass); Arthur Jones (keyboards); Vinnie Partesi (piano, organ, synthesizer); Steve Carter (background vocals); Art Garner (background vocals) and Valarie Martin (background vocals). Dedicated to his Wife who he loved very much indeed. He must have secured his position in her "Good books" for Life!....lol!...Slick move reginald!  Mostly top class covers of Soul Standards with the stand out track being "Oona'o" who is his Wife. I must also thank my great friend Yves For awakening my memory! thanks for the reminder m8!...A Fantastic Album Drenched In Soul!...Not cheap to purchase if you can locate a copy!
