I thought it was time to dig out an album from the supreme genius that was James Brown. Its bloody hard to choose anything by him at all as the man was a completist when it came to recording and performing black music. He literally covered every facet of our great music From R&B,Blues,Soul, and Funk, the latter of which he is the undisputed architect. This brilliant work of his covers the first 3 genres mentioned and cannot be ignored by me even if it has now disappeared in the halls of time. This material comes from his work at King from 1965 to 1975, but at the time it was released most of the King material was no longer in circulation. James compiled this album himself with many of the tracks remaining unreleased. On release this album did nothing commercially but playing it loud and proud today what a fantastic project it was from this genius, still sounding as fresh and exciting to my ears as the first time i heard it!...Some great dancers featured also...But then again i am totally biased and have everything he,s done album wise if not 45 wise....How can anyone not admire this great mans work ?

Excellent choice.
Thanks for selecting something by The Godfather.
The things I used to do never included James Brown, for some reason. I aim to rectify that... Thanks, AMM!
