James Carr - 24 Karat Soul (2001) Soul Trax + Mini Booklet - Rare Soul (FLAC)

Today whilst digging out these 3 great CD,s it made me smile to think how most of my life i have had this driving compulsion to buy Soul & Jazz albums..It really is an addiction which most of us on here suffer from🙋..But i,m lucky that my spouse understands and supports me in this harmless wonderful hobby!...This scarce album wanted by many collectors even though its a compilation for its wonderful content. The late singer was always idolized by deep soul lovers for his pure vocal style, unpolished but smooth without any slickness or gloss. The reluctant singer always had issues and often went into laconic states during conversations. But earthy soul lovers will treasure these tracks, which features a smattering of his biggest hits, "The Dark End of the Street" and "Pouring Water on a Drowning Man," and some not so common like "Memphis at Midnight" and "Gonna Marry My Mother in Law."James can do no wrong on this blog!

Soul music is the best addiction a man can have. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Thanks, AMM!

I saw once a doc on Dan Penn. He was asked who did the best version of "Dark End Of The Street"' His reply was something like "James Carr, is there any other"?
