Jay & The Techniques - The Northern Classics And More ! (2022) Private Collection - Rare Soul (MP3) HQ

Jay (Proctor) & the Techniques had a huge influence on me as a teenager. Over here in the UK you couldnt go anywhere in the clubs without hearing one of their records in the 1960,s. "Apples, peaches" & "Keep the ball Rollin" were Million sellers so he hit the big time and well deservedly so.With only 3 studio abums recorded and less than 20 x 45,s their impact on either side of the "pond" was incredible! Most of his recorded material was/still is played on the northern scene. Jay Proctor is a native of Allentown, East Pennsylvania where he still resides to this day. I will post up their 3 albums but my old enemy time is still waving a finger at me.I,ve included a great radio interview that you may find interesting,i did! They recorded for Smash,Philips,Gordy,Event,Mercury,Polydor, & Pro. Ive seen "best of" compilations on artists abound, but the record company,s never seem to get it right, hopefully i have. So get ready to be baptised by one on the great dance masters!
