Billy Valentine And The Universal Truth (2023) Acid Jazz - Soul (FLAC)

Singer-songwriter and producer Billy Valentine was born William Denham Year unknown, in Columbus, Ohio now based in Los Angeles, California. Best known as one half of The Valentine Brothers with his brother John Denham aka John Valentine. He Toured with Young Holt Unlimited in the early 1970s and the original road company of The Wiz. Established a songwriting partnership with Bob Thiele Jr. who enlisted Billy as a vocalist on soundtracks for TV shows such as Boston Legal and Sons of Anarchy. Thiele went on to produce this album. There is a third brother who most of you dedicated soul fans know Alvin Valentine. There,s a great interview in depth over Here...A superb album!

Great remakes of classics on this release. "Home Is Where The Hatred Is" is one of my favorite Gil Scott-Heron songs and he does a great job on his version. Excellent review. Thanks AMM!!!
