This is a really fabulous Collection of records from the tiny Richie Records label Outta Wilmington, Delaware which happens to be the home of our own BillyMac. The label ran between the 1960,s & 1970,s and got the attention of UK collectors via the Stairways & Vee Jays dancers plus a few other doo-wop dancers. In a converstion with billy about the stairways here,s some  interesting info he shared us with.."The Stairways were a pretty damn good garage band influenced by the British Invasion. They had some talented guys in it. My wife lived near, knew and went to high school with two of the band members.Chuck Aarons was a top-notch guitarist. Played with the Beach Boys. Then had an album with his m8 called Aarons and Ackley a sort of Simon and Garfunkel sound.Tony Puglisi was a tragedy. His wife was raped by an escaped con and when Tony came home, the rapist shot and killed him. Another American gun horror story. Richie Records is named after one of my best buddies, Richie Rago. A bad ass street fighter who became a top-notch lawyer.This album is doo-wop/garage transitioning to soul". Thanks BillyMac for enlightening us all about the facts good & bad. Ive included a few more bonus northern tracks from my collection listed under the back cover. Again, a truly knockout collection!
