Renald our friend from South Africa sent me a file he wanted me to ID. It was a knockout version of Garnet Mimms "Cry Baby". Well you can guess what happened, i knew the track, knew i had it somewhere, but mind went a blank. it transpires Renald,s family play a game with him to test his knowledge of his vast collection AFTER they lock his music up so he cant cheat 🤣...Name That Tune ?...Well after a few days he sent me the answer and the penny dropped!. So this is for him after it drove us both nuts for a while...lol!...... Klique were a Los Angeles based soul trio. Howard Huntsberry (vocals, drums and percussions), Deborah Hunter (vocals and percussions), Isaac Suthers (vocals, synthesizers and keyboards). They recorded four albums between 1981-1885 and 15 x 45,s. Howard,s voice bears an uncanny resemblence to Jerry Williams Jnr (Swamp Dogg) & Deborah can also belt out a tune. Although a very 80,s band they excel far more on Deep, sweet ballads thats why i bought their albums back in the day.

Thanks, AMM. I'm still laughing when I think of how the artist of a song can just eludes the day lights out of you. Thanks for the Upgrade. Nice review!

I humbly admit that I know this group but I don't have any LPs from them. For what? I don't know.
