At the same time as coming across the philly album this also turned up, an old boot that i really have not seen (or played) for donkeys years! Got this copy so i must have flogged it / but again with age the old brain box let,s me down..While not quite a major to rival Columbia or R.C.A., Kapp Records was a major player in the pop singles market throughout the sixties.Founded in 1953 in New York City by David Kapp his brother Jack went on to found Decca Records. Like many labels Kapp had a go at releasing records aimed at the burgeoning black music scene spearheaded by Motown. The long term result was a treasure trove of soul records destined ultimately for fame in the UK many years later on the northern scene. Luckily you now can enjoy these recordings today, many rare tracks herein!  Why Ruby & The Romantics are on front cover is a mystery? then again it is a boot! These guys who compile these kill me🤣
