Continuing on with the Bay Area Sounds for the third instalment, comes this brand new album from label Chumchange from Berkeley, California. Paul Tillman Smith produced this album on his own label. You can read more about him HERE Smith is the Director of the Bay Area Jazz Society. He has written over 150 songs, and has worked with Levi Seacer Jr., and Norman Connors on many record albums.Soul legend Freddie Hughes(nearly 80 now!) is Featured several times with his son Derick as well as Lenny Williams(Ex-Tower Of Power). This album brings the unique sound of that area up to date with a host of new names mostly new to me. Its great to hear a refreshing and vibrant album that shows real soul is still alive and kicking!
