Mark IV - Mark IV(1973)Mercury - Rare Soul

The Mark IV 's classic 1972 hit on Mercury Records, ' Honey I Still Love You' was written and produced by music legend, Roy C. (Roy Hammond).'Honey I Still Love You' hit No. 13 on Billboard's Soul Singles chart the week ending October 14, 1972. The Mark IV (formely known as The Attractions, not be confused with the L.A. group of the same name on Bell Records in the mid 60's ) were from New York City. The group consisted of lead singer, Jimmy Ponder, Lawrence Jones, Walter Moreland and Candido 'Lucky' Antomattei.Rumour has it that Roy C discovered them and took them under his wing, but i cant confirm this in all honesty. They had a couple of 45,s released on Roy C Hammonds Label Nation-Wide Records, one as the Attractions & the second when they changed their name to the The Mark IV.This is up there with the Unknown Greats Albums..Contains both their in demand Northern Dancers.......Fantastic soul!
