Charles Drain - Dependable (1976) RCA Victor - Rare Soul

This is one of the best soul albums ever made, sadly charles only album effort. Charles Drain was born in 1939 in Mississippi and passed in 1995 in St. Louis, Missouri. Charles began singing at the age of eight. and formed a quartet at ten years of age.As an adult, Charles also had a band that recorded for various different record companies.Charles also spent 1966 and 1967 background singing for almost every group that recorded in Chicago where he worked at the time.He was lead singer of the group The Tabs. In 1976, he moved to the St. Louis area and recorded his only LP 'Dependable' for RCA which is a soul gem! The album contained a few tracks Popular on the U.K. soul scene, and is still in demand with collectors Today. This has it all, deep, sweet,& dancable Soul!  OH YEAH!

I really enjoy discovering these obscure albums by artists who never made it big and received the fame they deserved. Thanks a lot for this review.
