Well the motown boxset idea went down like a lead baloon lol!..thanks to the few who bothered to comment with feedback, post now deleted...Moving on we have another gem of an album from the great Willie West from the sacred city of N.O. on the excellent Finnish label Timmion. What i like about willie is how he fuses soul and blues so perfectly appealing to a wider audience. His 45 output is more considerable than his albums which is a shame as i would love to hear more from this guy. Some stunningly haunted soul drenching tracks "slow & easy" & "the devil gives me everything" are awesome! The northern scene even picked up on "gettin down" &"she,s so wise" with a fair bit of action on both a few years back. There,s a hint of blues in the but over all a stunning soul based album that will certainly appeal to lovers of good music!
