Clara Ward - Hang Your Tears Out To Dry (1966) Verve LP Only - Rare Northern Soul/Gospel (FLAC 212MB)

Been very busy today sorting out the collection so just the one post today guys....Clara was born in 1924 in Philadelphia and passed in 1973. An out and out Gospel singer, pianist, and arranger she recorded 23 albums with the Clara ward singers and solo &  50 odd 45,s and earned her living gigging at Gospel venues all over the USA. For those of you that dont know this incredible singer your in for a real treat!..The tracks off this album have been hammered over the years from the Twisted Wheel via the Torch,Wigan Casino,Blackpool Mecca to venues up to the present day. One of my fave albums of all time. No less than 7 of the tracks from the 12 featured i have danced to over the years at various venues. I remember when Levine played "Help" from this album, forget the beatles version this knocks it out of the ball park...northern style...and it packed the floor!...You can still pick this LP up for a cheap price and you will be buying a bargain!..Take a look at the accolades she collected from the back cover, the respect was overwhelming for a great artist!...Superb!!..Still no CD release for this gem?
