The LA BEAT Label ran for a few years 1966-67 and was the Parent label of the group that included COOL SCHOOL, MARY JANE, RAMBLER & CARRIE. The majority of the artists releases were accompanied by The LPT's which were The La Beat Production Team & House band. Again its thought that most of the band were the Funk Brothers "Moonlighting" for extra $$$...Success was minimal and probably only with The Masqueraders. CARRIE was a soul and gospel label that ran form the 1960s-1980s & originally from Detroit, founded by James Hendrix. Later releases show a Nashville, Tennessee address. Also appears as "Carrie" only.sadly not all the tracks from these great labels were avilable, so enjoy the 88 that were!
