From Mack Emermans Good Sounds label that ran for 5 years till 1981 in Miami,Comes this LP only release(CD Japan Only) of the enigmatic Billion Dollar Band..a superb initial outing of soul and sadly their only release.The price is creeping up for this rarity.Their line up was Roosevelt Demps(drums,vocals),Vernon Maddox(lead vocals,guitar),Winston Stubbs(trumpet,vocals),Reginald Showers(trombone,vocals),Charles N. Harris Jr.(bass,vocals).Such a shame these guys never did anything else apart from a few 45,s. This rare one and only album release of pure 1970’s Miami Soul,Featuring Miami Horns with Mike Lewis The Miami Strings with Bernie Marks. If you like Earth Wind & Fire you will love the Billion Dollar Band.A very Polished Outfit indeed!
