Now here,s an Extremely Rare Album from the Wonderfully Unknown Mr Fountaine.This Was Brought to my attention by Phil,one of our Loyal Members who requested it...I told him i didnt have it but checked my stuff before i went away and lo and behold there it was!!!!!....WHAT A TREASURE....WHAT ELSE HAVE I GOT THAT MEMORY FAILS ME ?****SO KEEP THOSE REQUESTS COMING IN AS IT DOES HELP TO KEEP ME ON MY TOES*****I really should have catalogued everything i collected over the years..but i am now paying the price for this mistake as is my memory....lol...This is an album that every Soul Fan should Own,to say its Brilliant is a vast Understatement.You wont find this anywhere else on the Web its that Rare..I presume he funded this album himself on his own label..scans from Discogs as i only had a blank sleeve..havent got a clue where i bought it from?...not perfect but ripped @320.
I have to confess to knowing nothng at all about this Great, Great, Unknown Artist,but after a bit of Research here,s what ive found....... .Originally from Landover, Maryland, Toney was locally recognized as a singer and songwriter & only enjoyed minor local success.Sang and performed in the washington DC/Maryland Areas..but what a voice! His song, "I Found the Girl" made the top-10 playlists of many of the local radio stations.He sadly passed in 2002.
How many gifted singers have passed through this life without any recognition of their talents?
