The Action label was started up by UK Mod DJ Guy Stevens And Blues & Soul Magazine Owner John Abbey, also,he married tamiko jones,detroit singer,archie bell was his best man. ...Mainly Soul releases but a few pop and reggae tracks. Here,s another first from 2 Great Friends of the Blog,for the first time ever as far as i,m aware we have everything released on this legendary UK Label over 7 Volumes! The compilers state the following..."Right!!, everyone should know the score by now, No techy stuff. What does that mean?, this is it, best available tracks, various bitrates. Some tracks downloaded from the net @320, does not mean they all are. Many thanks to RossyBoy for a few hard to find tracks....Superb Work Guys..A MUST HAVE IF YOU LOVE YOUR SOUL!

Great comps! many thanks for sharing. K-Doe is a long time favorite of mine. He owned a club in NO up to the time of his death (The Mother-In-Law lounge) that was subsequently taken over by his widow, Antoinette. He also would Dj once a week on WWOZ, during which he devised his catch phrase, "Burn, K-Doe, Burn!" Sadly, Antoinette died on a Mardi Gras day several years ago, but the MIL lounge is still alive and kicking and now owned by a great NO trumpeter, Kermit Ruffins. Again, these comps are outstanding. Congrats on such a tremendous undertaking.
