Backbeats produced around 80 odd cd,s in its short 4 year life and everyone was a true gem compiled by people who knew what they were doing as regards soul & black music in general.So i,ll kick the label off with an album full of well known names in the twilight of their careers,but dont be fooled,this is a superb example of why these artists were so successful.These cd,s are all now deleted but well worth hunting out for the quality of the material,still very sought after.

The Backbeats compilations tend to be good, just as you say in the review. This one includes some tracks that are unknown to me. Looks interesting.
