Willie Beaver Hale - Beaver Fever (1980) CAT LP Version - Rare Soul (FLAC 196MB)

"Little Beaver" was born in 1945 as William George Hale in Forrest City, Arkansas. His family later moved to Miami, Florida, where he grew up. He learned guitar at a young age and started playing in local clubs before he was even old enough to drive.  As a teenager, Little Beaver was hired as a sideman in a band led by local blues legend, Freddie King. From there, he joined other touring bands and honed his skills as a guitarist and singer. In the mid 1960s, Little Beaver joined up with songwriter and producer, Willie Clarke, and the two began crafting the distinctive Miami soul sound. Their partnership would lead to many successful songs and collaborations with some of the biggest names in the genre, including Betty Wright and Timmy Thomas. Little Beaver’s unique guitar playing style became a hallmark of the Miami sound. He developed a reputation for his soulful, funky riffs that often incorporated Latin rhythms, and his play on the guitar was explosive and infectious. In addition to his guitar skills, he also showcased his vocal ability, earning praise for his silky smooth voice that only added to the soulful sound of his music. He recorded 6 studio albums under the name "Little Beaver" and this one under his own. More to come from him in the future, time permitting ? ..One thing i love about Black Music in the USA are the different regional styles and miami is up there with the best as the previous reviews from that area have showcased. One clever guy that can swing from one mood to another whilst still retaining his soul power as the tasters highlight!
