UPGRADE & repost from the old blog.....plus bonus 45,s to complete everything the Skull Snaps recorded is here. They came from Maryland & Washington D.C and formed as the Diplomats before moving to New York & changing their name to the Skull Snaps. They were Sam Culley, Irvan Waters, George Bragg & Ed Stasium, with Culley & Waters the lead vocalists. Just the one album recorded in 1973 in New York & a handful of 45,s...The album was produced by legend George Kerr who also wrote "I,m Your Pimp". A very good album that yielded 2 northern monsters (in tasters) still revered today and some funk gems with one of the most sampled tracks of all time "Its A New day". Now regarded with cult status among DJ,s & Collectors alike. Not only do you get the original album (GSF 1973) but this expanded include 45,s as does my bonus tracks listed below the back cover.

Many thanks for the upgrade and bonus tracks AMM!
Good choice AMM. I can still remember my comments on the old blog, but I won't repeat it here. All I can say is that they are a fantastic group, and thanks for the review.
Good to see this with bonus tracks! Thanks for review, P.
I only know the two tracks that were played on the Northern scene back in the seventies, they are not to bad foe what I class as quite modern (they were almost new releases when I first heard them) so I wouldn't mind reviewing the rest of the album, thanks AMM
