Edwin Starr - Soul Master & 25 Miles - LP,s (1968 & 1969) Gordy - CD (2002) Motown + Bonus Tracks + Mini Booklet (FLAC)

Edwin Starr born 1942 Nashville, USA - Passed 2003 Nottingham, England. Perhaps the only artist that understood the Northern Scene inside out that he came to love and appreciate that it gave him a good living. He came from a wide musical family, his cousins were also soul singers and songwriters Roger & Willie Hatcher, also well known on the Northern Scene in UK along with legend Edwin. He was an integral part of the soul and dance floor scene since the mid fifties and the formation of his first band The Future Tones in 1956. He was on the road right to the end. Recording 16 albums and 130 singles in his career. I could talk about this lovely man all day such was his influence on me musically. I Have everything he,s done and most vinyl worn out as you can imagine as perhaps most of you. You can get more indepth info OVER HERE  I saw him 2 weeks before he passed and nothing had changed, the energy, performance,& delivery were still 100%...This is a 2 for 1 CD containing those first 2 albums he recorded of pure soul dynamite...A TRUE LEGEND...UP THERE WITH SAM,OTIS,WOMACK & MARVIN!....Long overdue Review!..Such fantastic albums worthy of 6 tasters!
