Continuing on with the career of the greatly talented Homer Banks here duetting with equally prolific writer/performer Carl Hampton great pals from their days at Stax. After Stax closed, Homer Banks and Carl Hampton moved on to Warner Brothers Records. In 1977, performing under the group name of Banks and Hampton, they recorded this their only album ‘Passport To Ecstasy’ for Warner Bros.During the late Seventies, Homer worked with the artist Randy Brown, penning 'We Ought To be Doin' It' amongst other songs. Its a shame that carl never recorded any 45,s or albums as with homer only recording less than a dozen 45,s and no albums,so basically you have everything the duo have recorded with these 2 posts. this is a really wonderful album mainly ballads highlighting relationships and ably executed with perfection by these 2 great writers/Performers.
