You may or may not have noticed that they included 2 "Hidden Tracks" on this volume that are not listed on the back cover but are in the booklet ? namely CD1 Track 22  The Marvelettes - The Boy From Crosstown...CD2 Track 23 Brenda Holloway & The Supremes - Going To A Go-Go....no idea why they did this at all but the more the merrier for us! Another strange thing about this volume is there isn't a lot of Holland-Dozier-Holland on this set 4 tracks maybe. But if you want name writers, there are a lot of them who've written many big hits here: Smokey Robinson, Sylvia Moy, Henry Cosby, Ivy Jo Hunter, Johnny Bristol, Harvey Fuqua, Leonard Caston, Norman Whitfield and Ashford and Simpson, to name but a few. The songs are sublime as usual and that good because the hits have become part of our DNA.As with the entire seies many of these might have been chart hits had they been given the chance, but berry gordy knew best...I think not!
