This Li-Jan Music has been a big mystery for some years now. They put out some damn good collections of blues, R&B, soul, often with rare tracks unavailable elsewhere, but I've only ever seen these albums crop up from time to time on music blogs. I've never seen anything in music shops. Furthermore a few years ago I tried to track them down. It's like they don't exist. I went to their address and they aren't there. I don't live in Bangkok, if I did then I could put more effort in, they have to be somewhere as these excellent albums pop up regularly.
Anyway, thanks for the review and I'm looking forward to getting into this one.
Cheers, Clash and AMM. Living in Thailand, I've seen many a boot here, but, apart from the double CD set, The Girls From Ipanema - Best Of Bossa Nova on the Verve label, I've never seen anything like this here. Commercial soul, funk, yes, but nothing as 'rare as this'! Good find, Clash.
