Phil Flowers & The Inner Connections - Three Little Words (1977) Longwood Music LP Release Only (MP3 78.5MB)

Another great Soul Artist who never got the acclaim that he deserved is Phil Flowers. With 9 studio albums and nearly 30 x 45,s (most of which were great dancers) under his belt i thought it was about time to review him after a few requests. Born in longwood, North carolina in 1934 & passed sadly in 2001 in washington D.C. where he spent most of his life. A true legend on the Northern scene with his many great uptempo records. in the 1960,s phil toured all over the states with his then band the flower shop & was involved in calming down the race riots following Martin Luther Kings Assassination. An incredible voice that was sadly ignored apart from the loyal Soul fraternity world wide. This was his last album dedicated to his beloved family. Again no CD release for this either. I forgot what a great album this is & more to come from him.

Thank you AMM. I had been looking for some of his mid 60s singles, but did not know about this. Nice samplers!
