Benny Golson - Killer Joe (LP 1977 Columbia - CD 2017 Vocalion (Expanded Edition) - Rare Jazz/Funk (FLAC 304MB)

This is an UPGRADE from the old blog...Wonderful album from 1977 and regarded as a classic!..Not the sort of thing Benny Golson did as he was a straight ahead jazz man, but with the wind of change in the 70,s for a funkier sound and fusion taking off he thought he would try his luck, and boy did he come up with a cracker!..The CD has 3 Extra tracks to enjoy. With nearly 60 albums to his credit the man has worked with so many great artists, see his site HERE sub links are at the top of his page. He is a multitalented and internationally famous jazz legend, - a composer, arranger, lyricist, producer, and tenor saxophonist of world note, Benny Golson was born in Philadelphia and is still with us thankfully.
