Shelby also owned SSS International, Amazon, Black Prince, Minaret, Plantation Records, Share, Blue Fox, Glo-Whiz, Midnight Sun, Sumpter, & Wet Soul Records. Sam Phillips (who discovered & first recorded Elvis) the owner of Sun sold 80% of his interest to Shelby in 1969 making him the largest record company owner in the deep south at that time. The whole catalog is now owned by New York publishing company Primary Wave Music...Great Southern Soul!!!!
