John Ellison & Soul Brothers Six - Some Kind Of Wonderful (2024) Music On Vinyl - Soul (MP3 98MB)

This was Johns 4th studio album since 1993 when he teamed up with the four brothers named Armstrong (Sam, Charles, Harry, and Moses) and bassist Vonell Benjamin who together comprised The Soul brothers Six. The album was recorded mostly in Holland & a couple of tracks in Canada where John now resides. This year he will be 83 years old and he can still belt out a song!...remarkable and full respect to this legend. I have his initial double album from 1993 somewhere...lol and will review it for you as like this, pretty damn good. Such a shame these guys never recorded an album or two back in the 1960,s.

Great opener, Goffin & King's some kind of wonderful... haven't heard this version before... also covered by Grand Funk Railroad in 1974... a very versatile song !!
Many thanks for this review.

Hakase, The most underrated soulman of all tome in my opinion.
Big Dave, this is not the Goffin-King song for the Drifters. This is the bad ass John Ellison and SB6 song.
Thanks, AMM.
