Hal Singer - Paris Soul Food (1969) King Promo - Rare Mod Soul/Jazz (FLAC 205MB)

Hal Singer was born in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1919 & passed in France in 2020. He was an R&B/Jazz Sax player recording 19 studio albums and well respected throughout the musical world . The stunning vocals are provided by Robin Hemingway & a rare appearance on the organ as well as sax from legend Manu Dibango who i adore. This is one album i,ll never ever sell, years ahead of its time is this LP only release never to CD to this day! A Mod classic of soul/jazz from American sax-man Hal Singer. This album was recorded in Paris in 1969 while Singer was on an extended visit.  Long treasured by Soul DJs for the classic "Malcolm X" &  "Paris Soul Food" huge sounds in the early Mod/Northern clubs. It's a very rare record now on original pressings so god knows what this demo is worth ? 'Paris Soul Food' was originally released on Polydor in France in tiny numbers, now virtually impossible to find, it was also released in near non existant numbers in Canada also on Polydor then withdrawn & deleted from stock, but it was given a wider release on US King Records which i snapped up. Highly recommended for quality & rarity alone if you dig soul/jazz
