Goin' to the river with all soul fans - and I am glad to do so. Thanks for review, P.

When the songs on this comp hit - they really, really hit. Only complaint is that it includes too many rap interludes for my taste, and they kinda missed out on the remake of the Carnival Time song by not having the original singer, Al Johnson, on it (Al is still alive, kicking and performing after all these years). But, my comments are akin to finding flaws in the Mona Lisa.
They filmed a movie to go along with he making of this album (like they did with the Memphis film that AMM graciously bestowed on us on Sunday), but due to some financial snags, its yet to see the light of day. Here's hoping it does soon.
And, once again, many, many thanks to AMM!
