BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN DISCOVERS FRANK WILSON!!!...SHOCK HORROR!! ??
Well i must say it isn't that bad but i will a bit bias as i have travel 5,000 miles twice to go and see him and payed an excessive amount to see another time when i couldn't get a ticket plus other times. He is a good entertainer But its not Frank
He's about to release an entire lp of soul covers. Here's the track list: 1. Only the Strong Survive 2. Soul Days feat. Sam Moore 3. Nightshift 4. Do I Love You (Indeed I Do) 5. The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore 6. Turn Back the Hands of Time 7. When She Was My Girl 8. Hey, Western Union Man 9. I Wish It Would Rain 10. Don’t Play That Song 11. Any Other Way 12. I Forgot to Be Your Lover feat. Sam Moore 13. 7 Rooms of Gloom 14. What Becomes of the Brokenhearted 15. Someday We’ll Be Together
He's a bit late... all the other rockers did their soul/motown albums years ago, Jimmy Barnes, Michael McDonald, John Farnham, Paul Stanley etc. - but then again, he is the Boss :)
Well Pmac i 'll buy it as i have every thing else for his As for Jimmy Barnes well what can i say seen him twice that was a couple hours wasted no disrespect but jimmy's album was pretty sad for me but he is a "working class man" no comment on the others But that Guy Sebastian is not that bad i saw him with Lionel Richie way back Pedro
Right BigD. He does what he wants. Half of the old timers who are in the Hall of Fame are there because he said so-Darlene Love, Gary US Bonds- to name a few. Regardless, I don't want o hear him, Rod Stewart or Phil Collins sing this stuff.
That video, and the music, just seems a little too over produced and slick for my tastes these days. I was a huge fan of Springsteen, but kinda grew away from his stuff after Tunnel of Love (which I liked a lot). I really enjoyed his Seeger Sessions work, and the concert he performed at Jazz Fest the year following Katrina is still one of the greatest things I ever attended. But, this just seems a little schmaltzy.

This will at least have the merit of making known to all the ignorant young people of today.

Not certain what I think of this.
