Sadao is one of the greatest sax players to come out of the land of the rising son. A massive influence on the modern jazz scene over the years, and a legend on the Jazz/Funk scene. Its on that scene i became aware of his incredible talent and i have all of his albums at last,about 90 studio released and countless compilations.Rather than me harping on about the great man go to his website (in English) and check him out for yourselves AT HIS SITE!. time permitting (sic) i will post up more of his albums.

I agree with you about Sadao Watanabe, he is one of the best saxophone players I have ever heard. I first started listening to him in the mid to late 70's and then went back to listen to the earlier recordings and was blown away by his versatility and technique. Excellent review!!!
