The Best of Chi-Sound Records 1976-1984 (2 x LP 2022) Digital (2023) Rare Soul (FLAC 626MB)

Why this was never released ona CD is a mystery. Till now Vinyl only but came out on Digital in China so i,m told by a member who lives there. There really are some wonderful stand out tracks here Founded by carl davis who also ran the Okeh label in the 60,s.!

This is an epic find for me. I saw Manchild and Ebony Rhythm Funk Campaign many times back in the day. They are from Indianapolis IN where I grew up. They play in a lot of the bars and clubs around here when they were starting out. I knew some of the members of Manchild, including Kenneth "Babyface" Edmunds. Back then he sung very little and was the drummer for the band. Flash Farrell was the lead singer and he still sings for some local groups in shows. Thanks!!!
