A bumper 50 track double CD that defined the start of the northern soul era. They graced the dancefloors of the early clubs now long gone, venues that have attained folklore with fans down the years. Here is a selection of rare and collectible, original American recordings that would themselves influence the kind of recordings that would actually define Northern Soul. These records were made between 1956 and 1962 and represent the various changes that the scene went through over the years. Today the scene is just as vibrant as it ever was and collections like this one show how the music that fuelled the scene really started. These are truly some of the sounds that started an era. many tracks on here not available on other compilations. My god some of these tracks take me back to my teens....where do the years go ?
