REMemberING Roots Of Soul - James Brown/Eddie Floyd - Soul Brothers (LP ember 1964 UK Only - CD 2002 RPM) (FLAC 193MB)

Another long deleted CD found in my collection/clean up..For those that were around, Cast your minds back to 1964. This is how UK listeners got to hear these two Soul giants for the first time. James Brown's 1962 King recordings made up his first UK studio LP, and Eddie Floyd's 1964 singles, on the Lu-Pine (Detroit) and Safice (Washington D.C.) labels, these were collected together for an LP release a year before Eddie signed with Stax as the cover rightly states. The album is worth having for eddie,s rare releases alone! This album was originally released on UK Ember only way back in 1964 as REMemberING Roots Of Soul, still a gem! The first taster is Eddies mega rare northern dancer on safice that you dont hear anywhere these days and james was on fire with thses tracks, two incredible talents that were destined for greatness in the music world!

Thanks AMM. This must have been a knock-out in 1964 (Roots of the Revolution material).

Rare, rare Eddie Floyd singles on Lupine. Many thanks. I hate to comment when you're fast asleep, so I always wait until the next day. Have a great weekend to you and your way better half.
