Like Vinyl suffered with the advent of the CD, so the CD seems to be getting replaced with digital Downloads as this album is not available in either of the aforementioned formats which i think is a shame but the record company,s are not giving the consumer any hardware just a sound file which in itself is great for them as they dont have to produce the hardware so profits will zoom. but IMHO a rip off for the music buying public. Well thankfully Vinyl is still with us so i hope is the CD but hey ho thats life. This album gathers 15 tracks from Frank Williams exceptional Saadia label out of Miami. As Willie Clarke and Johnny Pearsall’s Deep City label was folding, the house band at Criteria studios were just getting started. Named after his daughter, Frank,s label took off just as James Brown broke his first “Cold Sweat” in 1967, building on that grunting brand of vampy funk for the next half decade. Together with his arranger Willie “Little Beaver” Hale, Williams produced just 10 singles, but all are peerless examples of the original Miami sound, & the 45,s are still very much sought after by collectors.
