Teddy Randazzo - The Ultimate Compilation Of All Labels (1997) Marginal 028 + Bonus tracks (MP3) - Rare Doo Wop/Pop/R&B (FLAC)

From those boot specialists in Belgium comes the now rare collection from mr Randazzo..Teddy was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1935 as Alessandro Carmelo Randazzo, & passed in 2003.
He was a fine songwriter and performer, & responsible for many classic R&B/Soul songs. These included ‘Goin' Out of My Head’, ‘It's Gonna Take a Miracle’, ‘Hurt So Bad’, ‘Better Use Your Head’ and ‘I’m On The Outside (Lookin’ In). He appeared alongside disc jockey Alan Freed, showcasing several artists including Chuck Berry and LaVern Baker. Teddy also began a career in the movies, appearing in the film ‘Hey, Let's Twist’, ‘The Girl Can't Help It’, ‘Rock, Rock, Rock’ and ‘Mr. Rock and Roll’. As a songwriter, Teddy struck up a writing partnership with Bobby Weinstein. He wrote an amazing 1800 songs mostly for Doo Wop/R&B/Soul artists. You,ll see his name pop up on the writing credits for most 50,s & 60,s artists, too many to mention here. The Italian community has a long tradition associated with Soul music for e.g. his good pal Frankie Valli from New Jersey & Vito & the Salutations from Detroit also good friends of his, but he wrote many songs for Little Anthony in particular who was a very close friend 7 teddy was the driving force that made him a star. Teddy is of course known for his great Northern beat ballad 45,s on DCP included as bonus tracks listed under the back cover. He recorded 5 studio albums and 60 + 45,s...How the hell did he have time to write nearly 2000 songs ? a legend in the music business for sure!
