Interesting mix. The Dr John cut is the same that you'll find on several different small labels. When Mac was a junkie, he admittedly would sell the same song to different labels to get cash for his next fix. Night People by Dorsey is an Allen Toussaint song that is somewhat of a different genre for Dorsey (slightly disco). The Skip Easterling cut is the song made famous by Jesse Hill, who has a different song on this comp, Whip It On Me (which is a very good cut).
Overall, its a very nice review by artists that you probably know, doing songs that you may not have heard from them. As Jesse sang, Whip It On Me, AMM and many thanks!
