Bobby was born in Youngstown, Ohio but moved to New York for more work when he was younger & where he is still based. I only knew Bobby,s name from his association with the original blues brothers band which features the legendary musicians Steve Cropper and ‘Blue Lou’ Marini. then he was known as Bobby "sweet soul" Harden. Bobby Harden is a classic example of a true “Soul Man.” in the fact he,s been around a long time but yet to hit the big time. He has performed live and recorded together with acts such as Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, Lee Fields, The Budos Band, Mark Ronson, Antibalas, & The Impressions, Solomon Burke and Bettye LeVette.  He has shared the stage with Eddie Floyd, Lionel Richie and, as lead singer of The Uptown Horns Revue, with Howard Tate & Benny King. Having toured the world and Russia in particular Bobby is believed to be the first soul singer to perform in Siberia. He starred in the 39th Annual John Lennon Tribute concert at New York’s Symphony Space. He has entertained royalty, he performed at President Obama’s inauguration party,  known to Hollywood’s elite, music superstars, and industry movers and shakers. his first album from four was recorded in 1981 and this is his latest and best IMHO. He should be huge with an exciting voice and strong personality to match. A very very good album! I have his "River Of Soul" album somewhere and must dig it out. Only 2 tasters on youtube which is again a shame as there are 2 great dancers on here that northern fans would love.
