This was the Debut album from The Supremes released way back in 1962. In all this album has been released a mammoth 51 times! but this expanded version has all the unreleased tracks coverered on CD2. The LP version/back cover with "The Boy That Got Away"(ON CD2) on the track listing is the counterfeit copy, even back then the botlegging was rife! The authentic original album release cover, nor the vinyl has " "The Boy That Got Away" featured in any way....  The LP includes the group's earliest singles: "I Want a Guy", "Buttered Popcorn", "Let Me Go the Right Way", and "Your Heart Belongs to Me". The earliest recordings on this album, done between autumn of 1960 and autumn of 1961, feature the Supremes as a quartet composed of teenagers Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, Florence Ballard, and Barbara Martin. Martin is not pictured on the album because of her departure earlier in the year, although her vocals are present on the majority of the recordings on the album. Originally issued only in mono sound. A stereo remix of the album, with a new cover, was issued along with the original mono version in 1965. Additionally, a deluxe two compact disc edition was released by Hip-O Select in the spring of 2010 (FEATURED HERE), which included both the mono and stereo versions of the album, as well as several outtakes, non-album tracks and live performances. Though the album made little to no impact on the US album charts, in 1962, when it was released in the UK in 1964 it managed to peak at #13 on the UK Albums Chart, with some versions of the UK album having a slightly different track listing which featured some songs from their next album "Where Did Our Love Go".
