Various Artists - Solid Soul Sensations Disco Demand's 26 Northern Soul Sounds (1975) LP (2004) CD Xtra Tracks - Castle (Pye) + Booklet - Rare Soul (FLAC)

I,ve spent most of the day tearing round my 3 storage locations to fullfill someones requests. After hours of trawling i found all 3 of them (to my great surprise !). These 3 albums were released due to the pressure of the UK soul fraternity, and the record companys saw they could make money from them. These albums were a milestone as they were the first ever compilations released of Northern Soul in the UK...yep the first ones, so many years ago now its scary to see how time marches on,.and they sold in their droves!. Once all 3 were easy to obtain but 2 were LP releases only (with cassett release also). Now see if you can find them !?. This album was released as an LP format back in 1975 and again on CD in 2004 ..but with Xtra tracks so i plumbed for the CD to review. The booklet is a fascinating read to give you an idea what the scene (and mentality) was like here in England back then...one word Mental! (but very exciting) as back then no soul was ever shown on tv apart from motown hits on "Top Of the Pops". as a kid i went to bed with my old transistor radio till me mam came up and told me off...lol...great days. The CD is ripped to Flac and the other 2 albums to mp3 as not in a great state but turned out better than i expected. So enjoy turning back the hands of time when UK soul fans went nuts for these albums....PLEASE NOTE I HAVE BEEN AT THIS PROJECT SINCE 7.30 AM OVER 12 HOURS SO ALL REQUESTS WILL BE MAILED OUT LATE TONIGHT AS I,M KNACKERED AND NEED TO EAT AND HAVE SOME R&R.

AMM
