AMM is busy working in the garden today and tomorrow lucky chap, so he's asked me to step in and post what I want so I'm going to treat you all to one my fave female singers and my fave Motown group. When asked most people say that Aretha Franklin is the top female vocalist but many hard core Soul fans would say Linda Jones. I first came across Linda's records back at the youth club in about 1972 when we had our rare Soul discos. The track that really blew me away was My Heart Needs A Break, it was love at first listen, what a record! Many of Linda's records were big on the Northern Soul scene here in the UK which are all great but some of her ballads are something else, superb, 1st class Soul, enjoy

Thanks Oldsoulrebel. I have always been of fan of Linda Jones. I enjoyed every song and her voice is unequaled. She to me was the all time soul lady Oldsoulrebel and thanks AMM.
